Jay-Z is in go mode now that his new album, Magna Carta Holy Grail, is in stores. Following a 24-hour stint that included a pair of lengthy interviews with Hot 97’s Angie Martinez and Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club, Mr. Carter headed to Pace Gallery in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood to host a live performance art piece. Also, we forgot to mention that this is all happening right now.
In the last hour, the Internets were flooded with photos and videos via Twitter and Instagram of the legendary Brooklyn native dancing with attendees and giving an impromptu performance of tracks like “Picasso Baby.”
Two things. Firstly, we’re absolutely hating. Also, both Jay and those in attendance looked to be having a grand old time –despite the lack of air conditioning described by viewers.
The event will reportedly be going on for six hours, so feel free to show face if you’re in the New York City area. Hit the gallery after the jump to see exactly what you’re missing.
